We create tools that help you make informed decisions regarding your health – With the power of data and science backed feedback, you can now take back control of your health and at the comfort of your own home.
If we better understood the nutrition and healthy habits that make and break our bodies, what could the world look like?

Leadership
Jeffrey Lee is the co-founder of Hume Health, a health tech company on a mission to make optimizing health simple, understandable, and sustainable. Hume turns complex health data into clear, actionable insights so people can make better daily decisions, improve long-term health, and ultimately live longer. By focusing on what’s actually happening inside the body—not just weight—Jeffrey is helping shift healthcare from reactive to proactive.
With years of experience in marketing and product design, Jeffrey specializes in bringing complex products to the mass market—bridging cutting-edge technology with messaging people actually understand and adopt.
Julian Hunt serves as VP of Product at Hume, where he leads the Scale, Band, Sleep, and Nutrition verticals. He treats hardware—Hume Pod and Band—as the beginning of the system, not the end. The product strategy he's built positions Hume's devices to generate clinical-grade inputs for the software layer to digest and translate into actionable guidance through Pro.f, Hume's AI assistant.
Julian's background spans aerospace engineering, consumer electronics, and machine learning on large-scale datasets—experience that informs Hume's approach to signal processing and data architecture. He was drawn to health technology through his own journey of learning to think differently about the body than conventional wisdom suggests. The insight that the body doesn't operate in discrete days but builds momentum and shifts trajectories over time now shapes how Hume designs its milestone systems and long-term guidance.
Our Vision: Better Health Through Data & Technology
At Hume Health, we envision a future where people live longer, healthier lives—and where each generation is healthier than the one before it. We believe health should be proactive, not reactive, and that individuals deserve access at the same level of insight into their bodies that clinicians rely on in medical settings.
Our mission is to make clinical-grade health data accessible, understandable, and actionable for everyone, right at home. By combining advanced body composition measurement with intelligent software, we turn complex biological signals into clear guidance people can use every day.
Through tools like the Body Pod and Band, Hume Health empowers individuals to track how their bodies change over time and make informed decisions about nutrition, fitness, recovery, and long-term well-being for overall improved health.
Your health data shouldn’t sit behind clinic walls. It should work for you—continuously, accurately, and on your terms.
Your Personalized Health Plan
When you buy a Hume, you’re not simply buying a health tracker or any other device. You are gaining membership access to an AI health ecosystem that gets smarter and smarter over time. As you start building your digital health profile, the app will soon be able to accurately predict health issues as well as provide recommendations to reach health goals through different scenario testing.
Why Hume Health is Different
The Hume Body Pod is an advanced body composition device designed to go beyond traditional body fat scales and even further than standard bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) capabilities. Unlike consumer smart scales that estimate the body as a single unit, the Body Pod performs true segmental body composition analysis using dedicated hardware and multi-frequency signal processing.
Key Differentiators
- True segmental analysis
Measures body composition independently across the arms, legs, and trunk, rather than relying on whole-body averages.
- 8-sensor measurement system
An array of eight contact sensors enables multiple electrical pathways through the body, supporting segment-level accuracy.
- 64 bioelectrical impedance scans per session
Each measurement session includes 64 individual scans across different frequencies and sensor pathways.
- Multi-frequency BIA technology
Uses multiple electrical frequencies to better distinguish between tissue types and fluid compartments.
- Aerospace-derived Kalman filtering
Raw impedance data is synthesized using a Kalman filtering system to reduce noise, improve repeatability, and stabilize measurements over time.
Metrics Measured
The Body Pod provides detailed body composition data, including:
- Body fat percentage
- Muscle mass
- Skeletal mass
- Intracellular body water
- Extracellular body water
- Health Score
The Body Pod converts raw body composition data into a Health Score that synthesizes multiple physiological inputs. This score is designed to answer the core user question:
“Am I moving in the right direction?”
Rather than presenting disconnected metrics, the Body Pod provides a consistent signal of progress over time, enabling users to track meaningful changes in body composition with greater clarity.
The Hume Health Band is a continuous health monitoring wearable designed to measure physiological signals related to metabolic health, recovery, and daily readiness. Unlike activity-first wearables, the Band prioritizes internal health signals over step counts or workout performance.
Key Differentiators
- Continuous physiological monitoring
Collects health data throughout the day and night, rather than relying on intermittent measurements.
- Metabolic and recovery-focused design
Emphasizes signals tied to stress, recovery, and energy regulation instead of exercise metrics alone.
- Advanced optical and sensor-based measurements
Uses onboard sensors to track changes in cardiovascular and autonomic nervous system activity.
- Designed for trend accuracy, not single readings
Optimized to detect meaningful changes over time rather than isolated daily fluctuations.
Metrics Measured
The hume health Band captures and derives signals including:
- Heart rate
- Heart rate variability (HRV)
- Sleep duration and sleep stages
- Resting trends related to stress and recovery
- Daily physiological readiness indicators
- Health Score Integration
Data from the Hume Band feeds into your Health Score, where continuous wearable signals are combined with body composition data from the Body Pod.
Rather than optimizing for activity volume or competition, the Hume Band provides context around how lifestyle, sleep, stress, and recovery affect internal health, supporting more informed decisions day to day.
